Living Well, Dead Poets Society, and the Silmarillion
Hello friends,
This is our Thursday round-up, in which I tell you a little about what Mythic Mind has been doing and planning over the last week.
- The Silmarillion course is now open for Companions. Fellows will have access on September 14. If you are already in, the companion videos and recorded discussions are waiting: The Silmarillion.
- On the main show: A Life Well Lived. This is the first full conversation of our Exploring the Psyche season. I sit down with Tyler Finders and Jeremy Key, both clinical psychotherapists and Christian thinkers, to talk about what it means to live well. Watch on the site or listen to Mythic Mind on your preferred podcasting app.
- On Mythic Mind Movies: our discussion of Dead Poets Society. We discuss the merits and dangers of unbridled romanticism as portrayed in the film. Watch on the site or listen to Mythic Mind on your preferred podcasting app.
- For Fellows and Companions, there is a new Inkwell reading: The Necessarily Christian Psychology of Søren Kierkegaard. This is the first essay in the Kierkegaard series that will run alongside the October course. Fellows and Companions can listen to Inkwell readings through a special podcast feed found in the Fellowship Hall.
