A Christian humanities fellowship

What it is

Mythic Mind is a fellowship of Christian readers, thinkers, and makers drawn to the humanities: literature, philosophy, film, video games, and the questions these stories raise.

We have a special love for J.R.R. Tolkien, C.S. Lewis, and related writers, but the conversation is wider than any one author. We pursue wisdom through both the primary world and the secondary worlds of myth and imagination.

Why it exists

Many people discover that the books, films, and games they love are not just diversions. They are places where truth, beauty, and moral seriousness still break through.

Mythic Mind exists so those people do not have to love these things alone. It is a place for unhurried conversation, serious reading, and friendship around shared loves.

Who leads it

Mythic Mind is led by Andrew Snyder, Ph.D. Through courses, podcasts, essays, and ongoing discussion, he gathers readers who want to think carefully about stories and the older tradition of Christian humanistic learning.

The aim is not celebrity teaching. The aim is a living fellowship: people learning together, writing together, and keeping good conversation alive.

Public content and the Fellowship

Much of our work remains public. You can find conversations and teaching on YouTube and across the Mythic Mind podcasts on major platforms.

The Fellowship goes further: guided courses, private podcast feeds, Discord discussion, The Inkwell, and a shared life of reading and conversation. Details are on the membership page.
