Episode IV draws on fairy tale: farm boy, empire, mentors, and a Force that asks whether you turn toward reality or into the shadow. Dr. Andrew Snyder (professor of philosophy and theology) is joined by Mythic Mind Fellowship members Ian and David for a free-ranging talk on A New Hope.

This Mythic Mind conversation treats Star Wars as modern myth: Campbellian shape without reducing it to formula, the Force as shared reality (with a Lewis-flavored word about being “bent”), and why the original trilogy still invites existential reading.

Topics include myth versus disposable franchise content, good and evil as orientation, and the launch of Mythic Mind Movies as the series continues.
