## In this episode

As part of the Elder Scrolls and Philosophy study, Dr. Andrew Snyder frames Morrowind’s 36 Lessons of Vivec as a manifesto of postmodern heroism.

The episode looks at who Vivec is (warrior, poet, god-king, liar) and why that matters for reading the sermons, how the Lessons push a kind of self-making heroism rather than simple “chosen one” destiny, and where Vivec’s esoteric path rhymes with secular postmodern existentialism.
