## In this episode

Oblivion’s main story runs from an Imperial prison cell to the Temple of the One: Uriel Septim’s dreams, the Amulet of Kings, Martin at Kvatch, and Mehrunes Dagon’s bid to swallow Tamriel. Mythic Dawn cultists steal the amulet into Mankar Camoran’s Paradise; the Hero of Kvatch closes gates, gathers the ritual, and returns the amulet so Martin can become the Avatar of Akatosh.

In this Elder Scrolls & Philosophy story overview, Dr. Andrew Snyder traces the path to Champion of Cyrodiil, and the sacrifice that seals the gates of Oblivion before the hero fades toward whatever Sheogorath knows next.
