## In this episode

The Force Awakens reopens the saga as a distant echo: new faces walking an old myth’s corridors. For Andrew it barely sticks in memory (a nostalgia grab with promise in Finn that never quite blooms); for others the question is whether a recycled fairy tale can still awaken hope, or only wear the mask of memory. Hope thins to an echo.

In this Mythic Mind Movies conversation, Dr. Andrew Snyder (professor of philosophy and theology) and guests enter the sequel trilogy. They talk Rey’s thinness vs Finn’s unused depth, Kylo as family wound, Starkiller as belief stretched past patience, and how the OT’s living cast made myth feel inhabited in ways this film struggles to match.

Topics include echo and originality, Resistance as inheritance, and why a soft landing into the sequels still matters for what Last Jedi and Rise will do next.
