## In this episode

Rogue One is the Star Wars story that refuses a free hope: every named face dies so the Death Star plans can live. Rebellion learns the northern price (stand, do the right thing, make the death matter) without glorifying every dark deed done “for the cause.” Heroic defiance meets sacrificial courage.

In this Mythic Mind Movies conversation, Dr. Andrew Snyder (professor of philosophy and theology) and guests take up a film generally liked more than loved. They talk Jyn and Cassian’s hard mercy, Beowulf-shaped courage before certain mortality, Vader’s hallway as pure dread, and how a war story without Jedi-at-center still feeds A New Hope’s opening crawl.

Topics include sacrifice and fragile hope, the moral stain of necessary evils, and why mortality done rightly can redeem a massacre of protagonists.
