## In this episode

Oblivion’s base game puts a prisoner beside Martin Septim as the Oblivion Crisis breaks: Uriel dead, the Amulet of Kings lost, Mythic Dawn gates opening, and Mehrunes Dagon pressing Cyrodiil toward chaos. The Hero of Kvatch is not the chosen one; the story centers Martin, sacrifice, and closing the gates before the Temple of the One.

In this Elder Scrolls & Philosophy live conversation, Dr. Andrew Snyder and the Mythic Mind Games community dig into the base game of Oblivion together: Martin Septim and empire, the Amulet of Kings, Mehrunes Dagon’s invasion, and how the Knight of Faith lecture frames humble service, willing entry into Oblivion, and heroism that is not concerned with being seen as heroic.
