## In this episode

Lewis’s “Myth Became Fact” argues that Christianity does not abolish myth. It fulfills it: the dying god becomes historical fact in the Incarnation, and the old longings of pagan story find their home in a particular time and place.

In this Mythic Mind lecture from the Fiction and Philosophy of C.S. Lewis course, Dr. Andrew Snyder (professor of philosophy and theology) walks the essay’s claim that myth transcends abstract thought, that incarnation transcends myth, and why the gospel makes myth more real rather than less.

Topics include Logos and particularity, pagan longing baptized, and why Till We Have Faces works as myth rather than didactic exposition.
