## In this episode

How do you keep your feet on the real while a culture prefers the shadow? Dr. Andrew Snyder (professor of philosophy and theology) talks with Spencer Askew about C.S. Lewis, Star Wars, Tolkien, and storytelling after the center has gone soft.

This Mythic Mind conversation follows The Abolition of Man’s worry about the real versus the artificial into myth and cinema: why Lewis and Tolkien still retrain desire, where postmodern story loses moral gravity, and what it means to take story back as formation rather than mere content.

Topics include myth versus disposable entertainment, Star Wars as a cultural mirror, and reading Beowulf (and Lewis) against moral equivalence.
