## In this episode

Josh Traylor opens Paradise Lost as England’s great Christian epic: cosmic war, the Fall, freedom and glory, and Adam learning hope after Eden. Milton meant to write an Arthurian poem and wrote this instead; the stakes are the same.

Dr. Andrew Snyder (professor of philosophy and theology) introduces Josh’s Mythic Mind course kickoff so the fellowship can enter Milton with a guide who loves Lewis, Tolkien, and the older mythic stock behind them.

Topics include Satan’s rhetoric, Adam and Eve’s vocation after exile, chivalric virtue in a fallen world, and why Paradise Lost still belongs beside the books Mythic Mind already loves.
