## In this episode

Attack of the Clones is where Anakin’s early steps toward the dark side take on the shape of love. Forbidden attachment ripens into fear of loss; a vow over his mother’s grave; violence that will not stay buried. What the Jedi call attachment becomes fate.

In this Mythic Mind Movies conversation, Dr. Andrew Snyder (professor of philosophy and theology) and guests face the film’s awkward romance without pretending the dialogue is fine, and the sharper story underneath: Anakin learning to dread losing what he loves, Obi-Wan’s cold pedagogy, and a Republic that shrugs at a clone army while Palpatine gathers emergency power. Geonosis opens the door into war; Anakin’s heart has already started the march.

Topics include desire and doom, the Tusken aftermath, Padme as the school of his fear, and why this middle prequel still maps the first nightfall of the chosen one.
