## In this episode

Philosophy means love of wisdom, not a pile of disconnected theories. This Mythic Mind course intro maps a brief history of ideas from Athens toward the present: how thought shapes habit, appetite, and the kind of people we become.

Dr. Andrew Snyder (professor of philosophy and theology) opens the six-week path: why mainstream academic fashion is a poor guide, what it means to recover discarded questions, and how Plato’s eros for wisdom still orders a serious study of the West’s intellectual story.

Topics include philosophy as formation, reading primary texts over summaries, and why a history of ideas is also a training of love.
